In The Dark
The Attic Temples
Long time collaborators Jorge R. and Pedro C. start the project in June 2009 and in response to a casting ad in the Blitz music paper, they meet Sara Maraval, singer and lyricist. Tulio Coelho takes up the drums soon after and Armando Gonçalves joins on the bass for a brief spell. From the first sessions a good creative chemistry becomes apparent
From the first sessions a good creative chemistry becomes apparent and soon a collection of songs begins to emerge, such as “In the Dark”, which was entirely created in the dark. The group creates in improvisation, rehearses and records in a suburbian storage attic. The Attic Temples is a celebration of the attic space, which much like garages, are the sound churches where many bands first meet.
